About the artist

St Ives artist Patrick Heron is well known for his love of colour and light which are the main concern of his work. Following in the footsteps of Matisse, Bonnard and Rotko, Heron focused on the juxtaposition of colours on the canvas and the subsequent interaction and interpretation of forms.
